During the beautiful summer days it is a pity to organize all kinds of festive events inside the house. Whether we talk about the anniversary of the birthday of one of your family members, whether we are talking about the wedding party, baptism or even about a romantic dinner for two, absolutely any event can take place in your own backyard.
Birthday parties for children in the garden
Organizing children's birthday parties outdoors bring us at least two advantages: the appreciation of the birthday star and his/her guests will be able to run freely around the yard and inside the house to avoid any disaster and cleaning after. Parents know all too well how inventive and creative children prove , even if there are only a few miniature guests and what they can leave behind, even without snacks, desserts and beverages available.
So if you stay in the yard, and your baby is born in the summer, the party moves out into the garden and you will not regret.
Decorative elements and a successful party menu
No matter how much parents would endeavor to do everything perfect, investing in all kinds of decorations so that children have of an unforgettable event, they omit an essential thing: the child only cares for fun. They do not mind the decor at all; they might care about the food, but not so much about the way it is served; the festive moment of blowing out the candles on the birthday cake is pretty much the only one eagerly awaited and that makes the little ones voluntarily discontinue their play, but only for a while.
One of the most practical solutions that do not require much space is organizing a mini Swedish buffet which you will make more attractive for the birthday boy/girl and his/her small guests by using colored accessories, such as tablecloth, napkins, small bouquets, balloons, flags , multicolored lights etc. A Swedish children's buffet menu should consist of food to their liking. You know: meatballs, breaded, Bulete cheese, olives, sandwiches, muffins, crackers, cookies, biscuits, fruit etc. To make them appealing to children, prepare all the dishes in miniature portions, the size of a single mouthful and arrange them neatly on colored plates, which you can decorate with umbrellas and all sorts of funny figurines.
Christening or wedding party with bucolic themes
Do you prefer intimate and restricted events instead of large and lavish, with hundreds of guests? If you have programmed a baptism, a wedding or any other important celebration this summer, you can organize it in your backyard, as a rustic party and choose a particular theme.
For an event with fewer guests, you can have dinner in the good old fashioned way, by arranging a classic table. But this presupposes to have enough seats for everyone that is present at the party. Location plan will be made depending on the available space, the venue of the party as well as your preferences. You can align multiple tables in a long line or you can place them dispersed at equal distances apart.
Keep in mind that festive tablecloths give every party a particular note, so make sure they are clean, starched and flawlessly ironed. If you do not have assorted covers for chairs, you can fix this small drawback by tying a ribbon to the back of each of them matching the color of the tablecloths.
And because it is a festive moment, scrape a few floral arrangements and use them to decorate the tables.
Remember that any beautiful party stretches late into the night, so make sure that the venue for the event will receive enough light after sunset. You can manufacture on your own luminaires such as handmade candles placed in jars, bottles and other old objects around the house and use them to decorate and light your rustic party.
